This will be a labor of love for a small but committed group of Joyceans who discovered Nuala a few Saturdays ago at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin, where we all were treated to an exquisite discovery, the artwork of Elsa de Brun, consisting of a series of pastel “valentines” to the writer James Joyce, which the artist prepared in the early 1950s.
Looking forward to watching where this journey will lead. At the very least, we hope to (re)present Nuala’s work to the world again.
